The first round of the 2025 DIAA Boys Lacrosse State Tournament is in the books and round 2 match ups are set. Three of the four games in round 2 are rematches of regular season games. #1 Sallies vs #8 Wilmington Friends, Sallies will be the heavy favorite in this game. However, Friends is a scrappy team and will not go down without a fight. #2 Cape vs #10 Archmere. These two teams played on 5/1 with Cape winning 16-5. If Cape brings its “A” game expect a similar result. The final two games of the quarterfinal round are #4 Appo vs #5 CR and #3 Tatnall vs #6 St. Andrews. Both of these matchups were decided by 1 goal in the regular season, and I expect these games to be no different this time around.
