The 2026 Coastal Lacrosse Academy team is preparing for the 2023 CRABFEAST tournament this week.  The tournament takes place this weekend in Towson, MD. The team is coached by Tom Incontrera and competes in various tournaments across the country. This year’s team has a record of 9-3-2.  After a successful fall season and break for the High School spring season the boys are back together and coming off their first tournament of the summer going 3-2 with 2 one goal losses.  The team has scored 110 goals and conceded 57 this season.

This 2026 team is a talented and competitive group of players who have shown great potential and improvement over the years. They have faced some of the best teams in the country and have proven themselves to be worthy opponents.  One of the special aspects of this team is they are friends on and off the field; they truly play for each other and as a team.

This weekend they will face their toughest test to date.  After facing off against #81 California Gold at 9am and #103 Zingos Black at 12pm, they will mix it up with the #1 ranked LI Express Channy at 3pm for the final game on Saturday.  I fully expect the boys to bring their “A” game this weekend. 

Look for the first 2 games against Cali Gold and Zingos to be very competitive battles.  Coastal will need to come out with intensity and focus, and if that occurs, I expect them to be victorious in both games.  A combination of constant pressure on defense, excellent goalie play, and pushing pace in transition to an offense that has the talent to score on any possession will ultimately be crucial for this success to occur.  However, as talented as the first two teams are, the toughest test will come in the final game of the day against the #1 Rank LI Express Channy.  This LI team is a highly talented team that moves the ball quickly and accurately.  LI is 19-0 on the season and has an average margin of victory of 10.2 goals per game.  Don’t expect this Coastal team to just lay down and accept defeat.  Upsets happen every weekend in this sport and this Coastal team has the talent to compete with the top teams in the country.  Win or lose expect the 2026 team to once again prove they belong at these Elite level tournaments.
